This simply cannot be the whole story. There is nothing illegal about withdrawing your funds from a bank.
The worst possible thing these folks could’ve done is made a scene while withdrawing their funds. Carrying a sign announcing your intentions is fine, but making a huge scene is unnecessary, and it’s not what the OWS movement needs.
If, on the other hand, the protesters were respectful, quiet, and peaceful, being held against your will is a crime.

Based on the amount of anti-semitism and outright stupidity I’ve seen from this crew so far, I really, really doubt that they were “peaceful and respectful”. I’d suggest that you take a look at Reason’s coverage.

There is always going to be a lunatic fringe, I figure this one is not immune. That’s why I posted about this particular incident.
The idiots make the normal folks, and the movement, look bad. The Tea Party has the same problems.
Well, the difference is that the tea party people pushed the idiots aside, and made them leave demonstrations. Thus far, that has not happened with the OWS folks.
I think OWS is still pretty unorganized, give them some time.
yeah, it’s only gotten worse. Unless you call rape, assault, and lots of property damage better. You would be very hard pressed to find any evidence of that sort of thing from the tea party protests.

It’s clear to me there are elements of this movement that are a complete embarrassment. I don’t support the anarchy.
