Shhh, it’s a secret.
And yes, it was fun.
Need a job, why not LEVEL?
LEVEL
Rosetta + LEVEL: “With the acquisition, Rosetta will have estimated 2010 revenues of $215 million, more than 1,000 team members, 10 offices in the US and Canada, and unsurpassed expertise across all digital and direct touch points.”
Yesterday was a pretty exciting day here at LEVEL HQ. I look forward to learning, and working with, our new brethren in the east. Here’s to a bright future.
I’ve been asked what this means for me. Well, it means we’re bigger and we have bigger opportunities as a company. It’s all good. We’ve been growing at a pretty fast clip year over year. This is a good thing for LEVEL, Rosetta, and our collective family. Each studio brings a great set of people and skills to the table. It’s going to be a fun journey.
Good times!
P.S. – Yes, this is the third company I’ve worked for that’s been acquired. The last two, Visio and Pelco, went rather well. Third times a charm, right?
P.P.S. – Apparently Rosetta has a presence in Chicago and Boston? How do I get a trip to either one of those beautiful cities? I need to get to Chicago in the December, preferable with a weekend stay while the Bears are in town. Boston, well, I could deal with a trip there any time. With Boston it’s all about history for me.
LEVEL Studios – Careers: “We believe that truly great work is born out of a professional, yet casual and collaborative environment. Each of our offices has their own unique vibe, but all share our corporate culture based on creativity, flexibility and teamwork. Coffee. Darts. Videogames. Whiteboards. Scooters. Nerf footballs. Brownbag brainstorming. More coffee. And plenty of interaction between clients and co-workers.”
Come on in, the water’s fine, and we’re doing lots of cool stuff. You even have different locations to choose from; San Luis Obispo, San Jose, and Los Angeles.
Oh, and the site fails to mention LEVEL Secret #2.
LEVEL Weblog: “In my history here at LEVEL, what keeps me coming back are the folks we work with. Something I have found to be critical to success is that we don’t forget to take time to laugh, tell a joke or pull a prank. I am fortunate to work with some amazing, talented folks with a collectively fantastic sense of humor.”
Ben Ryken, the author of the above post, is the first person I met at LEVEL. He’s very good at what he does and manages to keep us laughing. GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE! He’s one of the many reasons I love coming to work each and every day. Yes, this is a GREAT place.
I’ve also had the pleasure of getting to know Jason Gurley. The man is a very talented artist, as you can see by his doodles. I hope to some day have the honor of being “Gurley’ed.”
Not only do we have “Darn Good Coffee”, we also keep folks jacked with Monster! Gotta love it, legal addictive stimulants, what could be better? Ah, yes, there’s also great snacks all over the place. It’s going to take every bit of will power I possess to not eat all day.
